JJ...My homey that know me...My brother from another mother... aka... My nephew... (or child?)...
What up little man, it's your uncle/daddy Jonny speaking. Believe me when I say that you have no idea how long I have waited for you. It has been exactly 1 month and 14 days since I found out I was going to be a father.. I mean uncle... Oh shoot, I mean it's been exactly 13 days (November 17, 2006). One thing you will learn is that your uncle's love your mother very.... VERY... much. We have often had long, debacling conversations as to who Becca REALLY loves the most. Another thing you will learn (this does tie into the previous sentence), is that your daddy never was one of what you would call the "popular" kids, meaning that he did not have woman hanging at his side. I mention this only because I think it's important for you to know how your mother and father's(?) relationship works. When Becca came into our lives any of your father's(?) brothers could have had Becca if he so choosed... Actually, your Uncle Josh did date your mother briefly before your father(?) and her started "seeing" each other. Us brothers decided that it was time to let Josef finally experience hooking up with a girl, and not just any girl, the best. This was very hard for us (probably me the most), I even had to resort to writing them a poem for their wedding where I had to pretend like I was happy they were getting married. That sucked. With that said, I will kind of get serious. You have been prayed for for several years, at the minimum since your parent's wedding night, I prayed very long and hard for your parents to make me an uncle, in fact, I probably wasn't the only one. As you may calculate, that didn't happen. So here we are! I'm not going to lie, you are going to be one lucky kid. You have some pretty flipping sweet relatives. My plan is to write a little something for you at least every other day, even if it's something short, just letting you know what I'm doing now (im a freshman in college). Things that bother me, things I appreciate, my passions, frustrations, and aspirations. People you will like, people you will dislike. Stuff like that. I hope that when you get old enough to read, and since your Josef's child..ummm.... probably two and a half, you can read this and be able to realize how exciting this time was for me, knowing that I could finally have a little kid running around that I could truly say was kind of mine (Hint #1: if you ever feel like you are being passed around like a posession, don't feel used or hurt, just realize that posessions make people happy). Anyways dude, I'm stoked awaiting your arrival and can't wait to hopefully be a small part of your life (or big if your father(?) lets me).
I already love you,
Uncle Jonny
